Yateley Pads Lake is a roughly 4-acre water with an extensive gravel bar system and an average depth of around 5ft. It takes its name from the striking stands of water lilies along its western bank, and fishes well throughout the year, including as a winter social session venue, helped by Yateley Angling Centre being right on the doorstep for bait and tackle.
Average carp weights sit well over 20lb, with a good number of fish over 30lb and a current top weight above 44lb. The carp aren't especially difficult to catch, but they're known to go off the bite with too much line in the water or constant re-casting, so most regulars keep angler numbers modest and think carefully about swim choice and baiting.
