Car Park Lake is part of the Yateley Complex in Hampshire, widely regarded as one of the most historically important carp fisheries in Britain. A mature, tree-lined gravel pit run as a specimen syndicate water, it built its reputation during the era when some of the sport's biggest names โ including Rob Maylin and Terry Hearn โ fished its banks.
The wider Yateley Complex is closely tied to some of England's most famous individual carp, and Car Park Lake's own record catch on Carpdex currently stands at 50lb for a common carp, alongside several other well-known residents tracked here.
