Woolpack Fishery Lake 7

Woolpack Fishery's Lake 7 covers around 9 acres and holds roughly 60 known carp, with depths in open water ranging between 10 and 14ft. The bottom is varied, with raised humps, silted-up drainage channels and gravel areas providing a strong natural food source, while the margins offer plenty of cover from reedbeds, overhangs and snaggy bushes.

Around twenty of the resident carp are known to be over 30lb, and the lake record stands at 50lb 5oz — a half-linear mirror known as The Boss. Fred, the lake's largest common, is a rare capture, often landed only once a season.
