Willow Lake

The smallest but most picturesque lake at Linch Hill, 8 acres with gin-clear margins and an island.

Willow Lake is part of the Linch Hill Fishery complex and, despite being the smallest of its sister lakes at 8 acres, is widely considered the most picturesque. Deep, clear margins, submerged bars and humps, and a central island the carp regularly patrol all add to its character.

Its size means Willow often sits in the shadow of Linch Hill's larger, more famous waters, but the fishing holds up well against them. Named residents tracked on Carpdex include The Black Mirror, Tango's Lin, Camera Common and The Chinese Common, and the lake was previously home to the well-known 'Banana Common'.

For anglers who value scenery and character as much as size, Willow is regarded as one of the finer carp waters on the complex โ€” and in the country.
