The Mere is a booking-only holiday fishery run by RH Fisheries in Shropshire, a few miles from their Monument complex, let out in multi-day session blocks rather than single day tickets.
The lake holds around 1,336 carp averaging roughly 20lb, with the resident record fish, 'Grappo', weighed at 48lb 8oz in May 2024 — a name Carpdex also tracks here alongside Masey and Teddi.
Long casting distances of 70 to over 140 yards across most pegs mean a bait boat is a genuine advantage, and the fishery runs on strict rules — barbless hooks and a two-rod limit among them — typical of a well-managed specimen water.
