The Avenue sits in the grounds of Rob Hales's own home, originally dug in the late 17th century as an ice pool before being substantially extended and landscaped in 2007 into the 10.2-acre lake it is today. It operates as a syndicate-only water.
It holds around 200 carp in total, with more than 15 fish over 50lb and over 70 that have passed 40lb at some point — a remarkable 75% of the stock sits above 30lb. The current lake record stands at 64lb 8oz, set in July 2024.
