Richmond Lakes is a day-ticket carp fishery stocked with an estimated 500 to 600 carp, the majority averaging mid-double figures. Around 60 to 70 of those fish are thought to be over 20lb, and the lake record currently stands at 37lb.
The venue runs a strict rule set geared toward looking after a well-established, heavily-targeted head of carp — barbed hooks are required, a large unhooking mat is compulsory, and zig rigs and braided mainline are not permitted.
