Named fish

Kingsmead 1 has built a reputation as one of the country's leading big-fish carp lakes. The water holds an estimated 200 carp, with at least 60 of those over 30lb and more than 14 over 40lb.

Standout fish include two mirror carp over 50lb — Starry's, the complex record at 54lb 14oz, and The Scarred Mirror at 52lb 3oz — alongside The Upfront Common, the lake's biggest common at just over 44lb.
