Nobody has an exact head count for Kingfisher, but the fish that have been caught suggest serious numbers of big carp — an average size of around 35lb, with roughly 60 individual carp confirmed over 40lb, 14 over 50lb, at least four over 60lb, and one fish that has broken the 70lb mark.
Because the lake is still relatively lightly pressured, the carp remain comparatively easier to catch by big-fish standards, meaning large hauls are still possible for anglers who put the time in. Tracked residents include Tony's, Roger and Dodger.
