Fox has built a reputation as one of the higher average-weight carp waters in Europe. The lake holds a large head of carp over 40lb, with a genuine chance of a 50lb fish, several confirmed 60lb-plus carp, and at least a couple over 70lb.
Alongside the mirrors and commons — some with a distinctive, heavily-scaled look — Fox also holds a group of oversized grass carp, with fish banked close to the 80lb mark. For anglers chasing a personal best, it's considered one of the stronger options on the continent.
