Burghfield Main Lake is one of the UK's most celebrated carp waters, a spacious, quiet fishery known for being genuinely challenging rather than a numbers game. Its headline resident, The Burghfield Common, is one of the largest true English common carp ever recorded at 62lb 8oz.
The lake holds at least eight carp over 50lb and a further spread into the mid-forties, plus a strong head of mirror carp past 35lb. It also still carries original Leney-strain fish over 30lb, including well-known residents Classic Carp and Double Belly — genetics carp anglers have chased for decades.
