Broadlands is a well-regarded coarse fishery near Southampton, Hampshire, set across an 80-acre estate fed by the River Test. The venue spans three lakes and two river stretches, giving anglers a genuine choice of swims and styles rather than a single water.
The main lake alone covers around 26 acres with roughly 35 swims around its margins, and depths ranging from barely a foot in the shallows to well over 10 feet in the deeper channels โ enough variety to suit float, feeder or specimen carp tactics. Carp here have been recorded past 39lb, alongside decent numbers of large bream, tench, roach and perch.
Carpdex tracks at least one named carp from Broadlands, Bruno, and the venue's day-ticket access makes it one of the more approachable waters in this list for a first visit.
