Broadlands is actually a small group of waters — three lakes and two river stretches — that together have built a strong reputation among specimen anglers in the south of England. It's known less for a handful of huge individual fish and more for sheer volume of big carp: in one particularly strong year, well over 1,000 fish above 20lb were landed across the complex.
Carp here regularly push past 40lb, making it a popular destination for anglers chasing consistent, high-average-weight sessions rather than a single trophy catch.
